local hospital last week. Mr.
Rhodes has been an invalid for
several years, and she under-
jwent major surgery on Friday,
l July 15, and remains in a critical
condition at this time. Their
many friends hope that they may
be able to go to their home very
soon.

Lomax home in Meridian were

family of Oklahoma City, Mr.
and Mrs. John Campbell and

Mrs. James Lomax and little

Mr. and Mrs. Irven Sheppard
have returned to their home in
Meridian after a two weeks’ va-
cation in Newark, Ohio. They al-
so enjoyed sightseeing in Illinois,
Indiana, Missouri, and Ohio.
They visited in the home of their
daughter and family, Lieutenant
and Mrs. Kenneth D. Herring
and Kill! in Newark. Ohio. The
'Herrings accompanied them

ant Herring’s mother, Mrs. Fre-
da Herring, at Arlington. Before
