home. Traci remained to
spend another two weeks
with her grandparents.
The Youth Fellowship of
the Presbyterian/Zion Unit-
ed Church of Christ Parish
have planned two summer
excursions: Ranger/Red Sox
ballgame on July 29 and Six
Flags on August 8.
Mrs. Paul Holcomb of
Austin spent July 11-12 in
Clifton visiting with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.B.
Harris. She came especially
to be with her father who has
been ill.

Allentown, Penn. After Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Petersen
(Martha Helen Pederson)
had visited here early in
June, Mrs. Pederson return-
ed home with them for a visit
and sightseeing in that area
of the United States. En
route they vacationed for a
few days in the Blue Ridge
Mountains. Then while in
Pennsylvania, Mrs. Peder-
son said two highlights were
seeing the Bush Kill Falls
and attending the Kutz Town
Folk Festival in the heart of
the Pennsylvania Dutch
country. She returned to
Texas by plane and was met
in Waco by Mrs. Turner
Greenwade on July 9.
Miss Gunella Knudson
who was reared in the Norse
community has become a
resident of Clifton Lutheran
Sunset Home after living in
Austin for many years. She
has many friends and rela-
tives in this area.
Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Prlddy
of Santa Anna were in Clifton
Tuesday through Thursday
of last week. They had been
in Temple making medical
visits and came to Clifton to
spend more time with his
brother, E.A. Priddy.
Mr. and Mrs. R.O. Bass,
Jr. of Midland were in
Clifton July 7 to visit with his
mother, Mrs. Travis Bass.
Before coming to Clifton, the
Basses had been on a water
skiing trip near Tulsa, Okla.,
and after leaving here they
went to San Angelo to attend
a Keel Family Reunion.
Mrs. Bass, Jr. is the former
Patsy Keel of Clifton.
Mrs. Ellf A. Moore is
enjoying her three daughters
the month of July. They are
Mrs. Carl Kipp (Marcelle
Moore) of Laguna Hills,
Calif., Miss Doris Moore of
Fort Worth, and Mrs.
George Conn (Ruth Moore)
of Mount Kisco, N.Y. Mrs.
Anna Paulson was also a
guest in the Moore home.
Mrs. Merle Belcher wishes
to remind interested persons
of the Larson Reunion sche-
duled for July 22 at the VFW
Hall, Clifton. Others on the
planning committee are Mrs.
Steve Barber of Waco, Mrs.
Charles DeWitt of Bandera,
and Kenneth Larson of Dun-
canville.

FANS: The show changes
July 19. David Coffee will be
starring in “A Funny Thing
Happened on the Way to the
Forum.” It will run through
Aug. 5.
Rev. and Mrs. B.I. Dahl,
Jr. of Spokane, Wash, are
spending two weeks in Clif-
ton visiting with his mother,
Mrs. B.I. Dahl, Sr., and with
his brother and sister-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. David Dahl, as
well as other relatives and
friends. Rev. Mr. Dahl is
pastor of St. Peter Lutheran
Church in Spokane. During
their visit to Texas Rev. and
Mrs. Dahl and Mrs. Dahl, Sr.
visited with the Rev. and
Mrs. Richard Kuretsch in
New Braunfels. Mrs. Kur-
etsch and Mrs. Dahl, Sr. are
sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. Reginald
Thomas and son, Melton, of
Walnut Springs and Mel-
ton's guest, Glenn Preston of
Rockford, 111. visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Milton C.
Brown Saturday, July 14.
Melton has just retired as
American consul to Canada,
and Glenn will be leaving
soon as consul to Germany.
Both men were interested in
observing German and Nor-
wegian culture and heritage
in this area so both the
Womack and Norse areas
were toured. The Browns,
acting as guides, also took
their visitors through Bosque
Memorial Museum.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas
Railsback enjoyed a Carib-
bean cruise July 1-8. They
were joined on the trip by
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Prince,
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Weir and
Sharon of Azle, and Mr. and
Mrs. Rick Orr of Cleburne.
Mrs. Prince, Mrs. Weir, and
Mrs. Railsback are sisters.
Sharon Weir of Azle is
spending several days visit-
ing with her grandmother,
Mrs. O.C. Anderson, while
her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Weir, are in Colorado.
Miss Weir is also dividing
the time with her other
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Weir, Sr. in Valley
Mills.
In Aspermont last Satur-
day and Sunday to attend the
Frazier Reunion were Mr.
and Mrs. Carl F. Remington,
Sr. of Clifton. Mrs. Reming-
ton was a Frazier. They were
joined by their daughter and
son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Charlie Turner of Laguna
Park, and by their son and
his family, Mr. and Mrs. Carl
F. Remington, Jr., Kandy
Kay and Frank, of Duncan-
ville. Mrs. Remington re-
ports that 70 persons attend-
ed the reunion in Aspermont.
The 1980 Frazier Reunion
will be in Cliftbn.
Mrs. O.L. [Dickj Golden is
at home after spending two
weeks in Hillcrest Baptist
Hospital, Waco. She is
making good prdgrcss fol-
lowing back surgery.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry W.
Wallace and children, Jeff-
rey and Kimberly, of Hous-
ton spent from Friday
through Sunday of last week
visiting in the home of his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ever-
ett W. Wallace.
Mrs. Lennie Carr spent
July 10-13 in San Antonio
visiting with her daughter
and son-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Thorogood (Nellie
Jean Carr). While in San
Antonio, Mrs. Carr took the
Grand Tour on the B & T
Fuller Double Decker Bus,
known in that city as the
Civilized Sightseeing Co.
The tour included visits to
the Alamo, San Jose Mis-
sion, King William Historic
District, Old Ursuline Con-
vent, Southwest Craft Cen-
ter, River Walk Theater, La
Villita, Spanish Governor’s
Palace, Lone Star Brewery’s
Hall of Horns, Mexican
Market, Fort Sam Houston,
Brackenridge Park, Witte
Museum, and Institute of
Texan Cultures.
Stephanie Anne Morgans
of Conway, Ark. is visiting
her grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Hans Kalscheuer, while
her parents, the Drs. Lee
Morgans, are in Europe. Dr.
Lee Morgans is studying in
Hanover, Germany. After
the completion of his course,
Dr. Lee and Dr. Betty
Morgans will tour parts of

cruise on the Rhine River
from Cologne to Mainz, and
they also plan to do extensive
traveling in England. Brad-
ley Morgans, grandson of the
Kalscheuers, is at camp in
Arkansas, but will fly to the
D/FW Airport July 21. He
will then join his sister in
visiting their grandparents
until the Drs. Morgans re-
turn on Aug. 4.
Mr. and Mrs. Phillip
Watts and daughters, Whit-
ney and Dawn, spent three
days in Mincola last week.
There they visited with Mr.
Watts' mother, Mrs. Ray-
Watts.
The Rev. Cleon Flanagan
was in the pulpit of First
United Methodist Church
last Sunday in the absence of
the pastor. The Rev. and
Mrs. Louis Shantbeck were
in Graham for two special
reasons. Rev. Mr. Shantbeck
preached in Graham and also
baptized Christopher Mark
Czimsky, his great-nephew
and infant son of Mr. and
Mrs. Terry Czimsky. The
Shantbecks also attended the
Golden Wedding Annivers-
ary celebration of her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. O.B.
Rose.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert R.
Peterson and son, Bo, of
Houston visited his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Peterson
recently. The family was en
route to Oklahoma and Co-
lorado on a vacation trip.

graduate, plans to attend San

ports that Junior High Camp
is in session at The Master's
Workshop in Mclennan
County. A group left Mon
day. July 16 for a week of

Weaver and son, Robby,
spent the week-end in San
Antonio. They had planned
to take a longer vacation but
were called back on account
of the death of her uncle,
E. B. Harris.
Mrs. Lawrence Ringness
spent last week in Austin
visiting in the home of her
granddaughter, Mrs Wayne
(Teresa) Boggs. Mrs Ring-
ness and her great grandson,

Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Grimes have returned from
Houston where they attend-
ed the dedication ceremonies
of The Lloyd J. Gregory
Memorial Room aboard the
Battleship Texas. Mr. Gre-
gory served as chairman of
the Battleship Texas Com-
mission for more than 25
years, being one of those
instrumental in having the
warship restored and
brought to its home on the
s.m Jacinto Battleground in
1948. Mrs Grimes is Mr.
Gregory’s sister.

of Young Homemakers will

organization met recently in
the home of Mrs. Lawrence
Zuehlke to make further
plans for the beauty pageant
the club is sponsoring. Mrs.
Zuehlke said, ”We still need
sponsors and entrants before
the Aug. I deadline.”
