Bosque County Tax Board Seeks
Applications From Appraisers
Members ol the newly
elected Bosque County Tax
Board have announced that
applications from individuals
or an appraisal firm to
appraise all of the property in
Bosque County subject to
taxation by the various lax
ing units.
This is the board s first
major responsibility - to
select and hire cither an
individual or hrm to do this
work.
All qualified appraisers
arc asked to contact any
member of the tax board to
receive additional informa-
tion concerning the selection

I, 1980, an appraisal district
will be established in each
county, with the responsibil
ity for listing and appraising
taxable property in the dis-
trict.
The Tax Board will be the
governing body for the ap-
praisal district, which in the
future, will set property
values that will be used by all
taxing agencies in the county
having authority to levy a tax
on that property. Each
taxing unit may still set its
own tax rate, however.
