Good Banquet Memories Linger
The RSVP banquet is over, but the
fun and memories will linger.
Mayor Pro-Tem Mary Sue Crawson
brought greetings to all the Bosque
County volunteers and guests.
HOTCOG awarded seven Hu-
manitarian Awards for RSVP stations
and members. Bosque Senior Services
for the meal programs and home-
bound meal service. Sharon Gephart
accepted on behalf of all the nutrition
centers, including Clifton, Cranfills
Gap, Valley Mills, Iredell, Morgan,
Meridian and Walnut Springs.
The Bosque County Clothes Closet
Award was accepted by Roe Beth
Pipes on behalf of the Board erf Gover-
nors and the following faithful volun-
teers: Juanita Tennison, Agnett
Johnson, Jackie Emerson, Ruth
McLennon, Doris Zhiele, Hazel Dun-
can, Evelyn Hubbard, Josephine Wat-
kins, Ruth Morrow, Lillian Prisk, Ora
Surley, Ruby Goldey, Olga and Cliff
Benfer, Winston Pipes.
Ihe Clifton Cut-Ups Award was ac-
cepted by Ora Surley on behalf of all
the quilting volunteers: Olga Benfer,
Agnes Meeks, Meta Huse, Etta Lou
Dahl, Ruby Golden, Pearl Mickelson,
Verna Webb, Juanita Tennison, Nor-
ma Miller and all the others who
quilted occasionally.
Personal Humanitarian Awards
were given to Mr. A.B. Reed of Wal-
nut Springs who is known as Mr.
Volunteer, and to Marie Lawrence of
Morgan for all of her work in that city.
Ruby Golden of Clifton was given
the award in recognition of her volun-
teer work at many RSVP stations, the

“Santa’s Angels,” and the nutrition
program in Clifton. Ruby is truly our
“Golden” girl.
Roe Beth Pipes was presented the
award for her county wide activities
in chartible activities and organi-
zations.
Judge Regina Hanson presented
two awards on behalf of the County
Commissioners Court. One went to
Mayou Harold Vandive of Morgan for
his services as a Silver Haired Legis-
lator. The other was presented to Roe
Beth Pipes for her work and dedica-
tion to Bosque Senior Services.
Marc Almond, RSVP director of
HOTCOG, presented five year pins to
Winnie Knox, Juanita Tennison and
Roe Beth Howe Pipes. Hattie Russell
and Ruby Robinson were not there be-
cause of illness, but will get their pins.
