Recipes
CRANBERRY SALAD
Mrs. N.A. Goodwin
2 c. ground cranberries (raw)
2 pkg. lemon jello
4 c. warm water
2 c. sugar
1 ground orange
1 c. nuts
Combine cranberries and
sugar. Let stand. Dissolve jello
in warm water. Partly chill. Add
other ingredients.
FUDGE
This is from Heloise’s
column.
In a large, heavy saucepan,
put in 4Vi c. sugar and one large
can of evaporated milk. Bring
slowly to a rolling boil (rolling
means the liquid is bubbling
very fast). Let it boil no longer
than 8 minutes, stirring con-
stantly to keep milk from
scorching.
Remove from heat and add 8
oz. miniature marshmallows,
three 6-oz. pkgs. of chocolate
chips (total of 18 ounces), and 1
cup butter or margarine. Stir
until melted and blended in
well.
Add 2 c. broken nut meats and
1 tsp. vanilla. Spread on large,
ungreased pan, allow to cool,
and cut into squares.
This recipe makes quite a bit
of fudge. I hope you are not
dieting.
