Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Johnson
son will celebrate 60 years of marriage. They were married at Zion
Lutheran Church in McGregor on September 19, 1952. They have
four children: Karen Rice of McGregor, Denise Oliver and husband
Larry of McGregor, Randy Johnson and wife Cathy of Coryell City
and Gerald Johnson and wife Hollie of McGregor; 12 grandchildren
and two grae t grandchildren.

The 13th Annual Moody
Cotton Harvest Festival will be
Saturday Sept. 22,2012 in down-
town Moody, TX on Ave. E.
The Festival Parade will be-
gin at 10:00 a.m. with the festi-
val lasting until 11:00 p.m. Joyce
Woods Cox has been named
Grand Marshall of the 13th An-
nual Moody Cotton Harvest Fes-
tival. She was one of the original
founders of the festival. Joyce
grew up in Moody. She & her
husband Charles purchased a
farm in the Stampede Valley
and lived there with son Dud-
ley for over 20 years. Joyce is
the daughter of Omer and Su-
san Woods who were residents
of Moody for years. Charles
Schaefer of McGregor is a cous-
in.
Admission and parking free.
The festival includes parade,
presentations to the Grand Mar-
shall, pie contest and auction, on
stage musical entertainment until

11:00 pm, Water Wars, Carnival
Rides and games, a lot of activi-
ties for all ages, arts, crafts and
food vendors.
Bands performing are Red
Dirt Ramblers, Michael Cara-
belli, Wes Perryman Band, Lone
Star Gypsy, Wally West and
Them Lost Bound Souls.
There will be a Catfish Din-
ner dinner sponsored by the
Moody Chamber of Commerce,
held at Moody Elementary
School cafeteria, on N. Ave E.
from 5:00 - 7:00p.m. Advance
Ticket sales price $8.00 adult and
$5.00 for the kids..

will be $9.00, so buy ear-

Brian is the son of Mike and Shirley Westerfield of Crawford
and the late Brenda Westerfield.
