A MESSAGE FROM R. H. HILLIARD, 'YOUR PHARMACIST'
WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE A HAPPIER AND
HEALTHIER CHRISTMAS?
Then, please permit us to offer some advice. December
is usually a month when most people over-exert them-
selves. Everyone is busy shopping for gifts and all the
other preparations for the Yule Tide and the New Year
to come.
DECEMBER WEATHER IS OFTEN TREACHEROUS.
When, your over-tired body is exposed to its frequent
temperature changes, coughs, colds and sometimes more
serious sickness can occur. This can spoil your Christmas
pleasures.
GIVE YOUR BODY AN IMPORTANT CHRISTMAS
GIFT NOW.
Visit your physician for a check-up to make certain
you are in a healthy condition. You probably are, but
it will be a good Christmas gift to know it for sure.
If n,ot, then he will prescribe the proper medication that
will enable you to enjoy life more. Don’t let any pre-
ventable illness spoil your Christmas.
WE SINCERELY WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS
AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.
We appreciate your choosing us to be “Your Phar-
macist.” We will always do anything we possibly can
to help you enjoy continuous good health.

“You gotta have heart . . .
lots and lots and lots of heart.”
Ever consider the folks in this
community that have loads and
loads of heart? There’s a passel
of folks around here who are
all heart and a yard wide. Lots
of these folks hide their kind-
nesses under the gruffiest ex-
teriors, but the courage and love
of humanity runs firm and
strong underneath.

Christmas time is a good time
for stories . . . there’s one of an
84-year-old native whose leg
drew, causing him terrific an-
guish, until it seemed as though
his hip might have slipped out
fof socket. He tells it this way:
“Me and the doc worked and
worried about that hip, but didn’t
do a bit of good. Then one day
it just slipped back into place.
And the doc said, “Well I de-
clare, who you had working on
you, and how in the world did
it get all right?” Here my friend
sums up the story by raising his
arms heavenward, “And I said
it was the Good Master, that’s
how the pain left off! And that’s
how it was, too!”

And there is the senior citi-
zen, who, when a group of young
folk came to carol, preferred to
stand as long as there were la-
dies present who did not sit
down. The art of being a true
gentleman ... a lost art, which
•makes gentlemanly actions in
our modern day all the more
dear.
