The Anvil Herald’s former Girl

in Dallas grandmothering. She
answered a call for help a few
weeks ago when son Tony’s wife,
Susan, found it necessary t o
have surgery and someone was
needed to take care of their new
baby daughter.
Susan is home now and on the
mend, so Sally may be headed
homeward before many more
days pass.

San Antonio to visit him before
he left the hospital.

able to have company on a lim-
ited basis and for brief inter-
vals now she, too, is recovering
from a heart attack of about a
month ago. She was telling us
that she has had much good in-
formation from J. Frank Jung-
man of Houston, who had a
heart attack several years ago,
and is now actively engaged in
the heart campaign in Houston.
That city must take its heart
patients seriously as we noticed
a wnte-up in the Houston Post
this week about a meeting of the
Mended Hearts chapter. Contra-
ry to what it sounds like, this
organization is not for those
who have had an unfortunate ro-
mance, but for those people who
have had, or are scheduled to
have, heart surgery.

The pleasantness of these
foolish fall days seems to be in-
terrupted only by the sound o f
an ah-choo from this direction
and that, for with the change in
weather h3s come the inevitable
siege of hay fever with which
some people are plagued. This
is a case of accepting the bad
with the good, we suppose, but
for a couple of weeks the
temperature really has been de-
lightful here in our part of the
country.
