designed to help Texas farm-
ers grow bigger and better
crops will be explained in a
new program of fundamental
developmental studies at the
University of Texas.
The new project will be pat-
terned after the cotton investi-
gation and research work now
under way at the University
with Dr. W. G. Whaley as di-
rector.’
Tentatively known as the
Plant Research Institute and
supported by a grant from the
