Be it ordered by the board
of trustee! of Timpeon Inde-
pendent School District that
an election be held in the town
of Timpeon, in said Tfanpson
Independent School District
on the 4th day ef April, 1942,
for the purpose of electing two
School Trustees for said Timp-
aon Independent School Dis-
trict
W. S. Espy, aa judge, and
J. D. Hairston and Mrs.George
Hutcherson, ax clerks, are
hereby appointed to hold said
election, and said election
.shall be held in the manner
prescribed by law for holding
other elections.
The returns of said election
-shall be made to the President
-of School Board, Timpeon,
Shelby County, Texas, in ac-
cordance with law.
A copy of this order signed
by the president and attested
by the secretary of this board
shall serve as proper notice of
said election, and the presi-
dent shall cause notice of said
election to 'be given in accord-
ance with law.
In testimony whereof, wit-
ness the signature of the Pres-
ident and Secretary of said
Tirapaon Independent School
District and the seal thereof
hereunto affixed this the 3rd
day of March, 1942.

the first Tuesday, in April, A.
D. 1942, the same being the
7th day of said month, that an
election will be held in the di-
rectors room of The Cotton
Texas, for the purpose of
electing a mayor, secretary,
marshal and four aldermen,
the terms of the following ex-
piring:

W. M. Ramsey, secretary.

Marshall, Texas.—Approxi-
mately 1.200 workers will be
cut from Works Progress Ad-
ministration roll* in the twen-
ty-four East Texas counties
embracing District ' 1 within
the coming week to help with
the farm labor shortage, Dis-
trict Director A. W. Elrod an-
nounced Wednesday. The re-
duction will be made from the
j 8,100 workers in the district,
! Elrod said.
