"Everlasting Punishment” is
the subject of the' lesson-ser-
mon which will be read in all
Churches of Christ, Scientist,
on Sunday, October 29.
The Golden Text is: "Cast
away from all your transgres-
sions, whereby ye have trans-
gressed : and make you a new
heart and anew spirit: for why
will ye die, O house of Israel?”
(Ezekiel 18:31).
Among the citations which
comprise the Lesson-Sermon is
the following from the Bible:
“If thou, Lord, shonidert mark
iniquities, O Lord, who shall
stand? But there is forgive-
ness with thee, that thou m*y-
est be feared.” (Psalms 130:3,
4).
The Lesson-Sermon also in-
cludes the following passage
from the Christian Science
textbook, “Science and Health
with Key to the Scriptures” by
Mary Baker Eddy:- “Let ns re
member that the eternal law
of right, though it can never
annul the law which makes
sin its own executioner, ex-
empts man from all penalties
but those due for wrong-do-
ing.” (Page 385).

Mrs. T. P. Rutherford. Ownei
You remember why, don't you? Certainly. It
was “to see what he could see.*’
And it’s for just this same beautifully
simple reason that thousands of knowing peo-
ple run through the advertisements in their
daily newspapers.
For, it seems, civilized men and women
are seldom satisfied with their lot. In this
ever-producing age they have an insatiable ap-
petite for something new which may make
life brighter. That something may be an
electric razor, or new clothes — a good hook,
or a ride in a streamlined train.
So they turn the newspaper pages to see
what drey can see. There they’re able to find
what it is, why it is, where it is, and how much
it is. And die advertisements say, “Come
and get it!" ' 1
