Mr. and Mrs. George W. Wisdom
were honored on their golden wed
ding anniversary with an open
house at their home in Llano Sun-
day afternoon, Nov. 21, with their
children ns hosts.
The refreshment table was cov-
ered with a white cloth and was
centered with an arrangement of
j yellow chrysanthemums, and a two
I tiered wedding cake decorated
with yellow roses and orange bios-
i soms and topped with golden wed-
ding hells.
The family received the guests
and refreshments were served af-
ter the gifts were opened. About
55 were present.
The couple was honored also on
Monday night. Nov. 22, at the Gos-
pel church, nnd presented with a
cake holding fifty cnndles- Mrs.
Dave Graham made t.he presenta-
tion.
Mr. and Mrs. Wisdom were mar-
ried Nov. 22, 1904. in San Saha.
They have lived in and nonr Lln-
no for the past 35 years. Mr. Wis-
dom is 72. nnd Mrs. Wisdom is
(15 years old. Mrs. Wisdom’s par-
ents were Mr nnd Mrs. Elbert
D. Stewart of Lampasas.
Mr. and Mrs. Wisdom had nine
children, eight of them living. The
couple hns 34 grandchildren nnd
15 great grandchildren. All were
present at the open house except
a daughter. Mrs. Lyle Rigger of

DAVID L. LEVERETT
David L. Leverett, son of Mr.
and Mrs. 1). L. Leverett, formerly
of Llano and now residing in Kerr-
ville, was enlisted in the Air Force
recently, according to M/Sgt.
Jung, air force recruiter with of-
fices at Fredericksburg-
Leverett will take his basic
training at Lackland Air Force
base, San Antonio, where lie will
be tested and counseled for as-
signment in one of the 42 Air
Force career fields.
Upon completion of his train-
ing, Leverett will go to a tech-
nical school before he gets his
assignment to a permanent duty
station.
