THE NEW LEAGUE FOOTBALL
PLAN IS’ BEING ACCEPTED
Austin, Tex., Aug. 3—Confidence
that the new football plan to be in
operation this fall will more nearly
fit the needs of the schools than any-
thing yet proposed was expressed by
Roy Henderson of the Interscholastic
League Bureau of the University of
Texas. More acceptances of the plan
have been received than ever before
at this time of the year, he stated.
Calls for football contracts have al
so been received in greater numbers
than heretofore during the sumniei
! season, Henderson said, exhausting
• the supply on hand at the League
i headquarters. Between 15,000 and 20.
000 contracts are now being printed
! and these will soon be ready.
| The principal changes in the Leag-
ue football plan for the coming veai
are that each district in both confer-
ence A and B will have an executive
committee for settling any questions
which may arise, in that district, and
in the revision of districts. This last ^
change is of particular importance in
conference A in North Texas where
ail the schools of Dallas and Fort
Worth will compose one district. The
making of one district of these two
city school systems has met with al-
most unanimous approval, both with
the schools concerned and others of
that section of the State, according
to Henderson. This will also make
possible an inter-city championship
between Dallas and Fort Worth, the
winning team immediately entering |
the state finals.

LITTLE LOSSES HURT MOST
Xuthorities tell us that it is the small investc.
who is most frequently the victim of alluring
promises of fantastic profits. A safe yield on
his money would be too small to be attractiv e.
Similarly, the greatest numoer ot losses and
thefts of pocket-monej' undoubtedly happen
to those who thought their roll too smah to
protect. Losses of $200 or Si00 ail to^ o.ten
spell the ruin of a vacation, the disappear az
of a nest-egg, the shattering ot a DUiv«a..ic
against a rainy day.
For that reason, this bank par-
ticularly welcomes small pur-
chases of Travelers Cheques,
tie perfect farm of pocket funds
which protect against the dan-
gers of both loss and theft.
Many people make a practice of
carrying all of their pocket mou-
i ver and above a small
ey
..mount of currency in the form
of Travelers Cheques, replead i-
ing these as often as neeced.
The cost of this protection s in-
significant—only 75c per 5100.
Travelers Cheques are self-
identifying. and may be spent
practically anywhere as needed
They come In convenient sue
