Mrs. Susan Holloway Long, for
more than three score ve.its a resi-
dent of Llano coun y, died In the
home of her daughter. Mrs. Jack
Hallmark Jn the Valley Spring com-
munity last Friday and was buried
in the Llano cemetery the following
" cay.
Mrs Long had been In declining
health for the past two or three years
and had been confined to her bed for
several months.
The deceased was born in Ark

ed her 94th birthday at the time of
her death.

Mrs. Long Is survived by two sons,
R. VV. Long, of Big Springs, and H.
A. Long, of Borger, and one daugh-
ter. Mrs. Hallmark. There are also
many grand children anil great grand
children surviving.
Mrs Long became a member of the
Church of Christ some 33 years ago.
Funeral services were conducted
at the Buttery Funeral home by L.
V. Nobles, Church of Christ minister
and interment was under the direc-
tion of Miles Buttery, local under-
taker
Pallbearers were Aubrey Hallmark.

ty, In Houston.
He received three diplomas, on" for
100 per cent in health; one for 97.4
per ren; in beauty: and the third for
b.igli honors in th» King and Queen
division.
His mother is the former Miss Max-
ine Garrett and lie is the grandson
of Mr. and Mrs. Apn Garrett- His
father Is serving with the U. S. Navy
somewhere in the Philippines.
Miss Pearl Haywood died at her
home in the Kingsland community
last Thursday, April 19. following a
long illness and was burled In tho
Kingsland cemetery the following
day.
Funeral services were conducted at
:he First Christian church in Llano
by the Rev. J. J. Ray. pastor of the
Kingsland church, of which Miss Hay
wood was a member.
Miss Haywood, a life long resident
of Llano county, was the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. J M. Haywood, both
of whom had preceded her in death.
Fite is survived by two sisters,
Misses Edna and Lula Haywood, of
Llano county. The three sisters car-
ried on the extensive ranch business
of their late father after his death
several years ago-
