The City of Hondo plans to apply
for a $240,000 Texas Community
Development Fund grant for water
line and fire hydrant improvement
in parts of the area north of the rail-
road tracks.
The city has the required $48,000
in matching funds available and the
area fits the required low to moder-
ate income status.
Citizens can review the applica-
tion at City Hall during regular busi-
ness hours, according to a public
notice published in this issue.

paring for the upcoming Museum Day celebration on May 10.

Commissioners accepted bids
from four local banks at Monday's
meeting. D'Hanis State Bank, Cas-
troville State Bank, Hondo National
Bank, and Community National
Bank submitted proposals for the
county depository contract.
Broadway Bank also submitted a
bid, but it was rejected because it did
not comply with bid specs.
