Twilight Thursdays start soon
and jingle bells. Awards are pre-
sented according to age
groups. The Tour of Lights decorat-
ing contest is open to homes and
businesses located within the
Livingston ISD. Categories include
homes, street or block, business
exterior and business interior. For
more details, call 327-5242 or 327-

Area merchants are gearing up
for the second annual Twilight
Thursdays with extended shopping
hours,beginning Nov. 17 and con-
tinuing through Dec.
23. Participating businesses will be
open on Thursday evenings from 5
p.m. to 8 p.m. (excluding Thanks-
giving). Shops will be offering re-
freshments, music, specials and in-
store promotions in a friendly, fes-
tive atmosphere. The Christmas
Train Village is moving from Heri-
tage House to 115 W. Mill, (old
Pedigo Furniture block) and will be
open on Twilight Thursdays.

Of Trade Days Dog Show
The Trinity River Assembly of
the)/Rainbow Girls will be hosting
th<^.| third annual Dog Show at
Livingston Trade Days, Pedigo
Park on Nov. 19. The show is open
to all dogs and you may enter as
many dogs as you wish. Entry fee
is $J0 for the first dog and $5 for
eac(j additional dog. For more in-

Christmas festivities and fam-
ily fun
Livingston will soon be abuzz
With all the sights and sounds of
Christmas. Activities planned by
the city for the holiday season in-
clude the Lights for Leslie Christ-
mas Lighting, Jingle Bell Fun Run
& Walk, Christmas in the Pdrit hay-
ride, Santa at Miss Effie’S Cottage,
Hometown Christmas featuring the
lighted parade and the Tour of
Lights Bus tour. Anyone interested
in an arts/crafts booth or food booth
at the Hometown Christmas event,
contact Deanna Grissom at 936-
433-0963. Registration is underway
and will continue through Decem-
ber 2nd for the Jingle Bell Fun Run
& Walk and the Tour of Lights
decorating contest. The run/walk is
open to anyone interested in a little
fun and friendly competition. All
participants receive an event t-shirt
