urner representatives to visit
LIVINGSTON — Several mem-
jpers of Congressman Jim Turner’s
"staff will be stopping in L’ivingston
on Tuesday, March 13, in older to
help Polk County residents with
their questions and concerns about
the federal government. In addition
to conveying messages back to the
congressman, staff will be available
to help cut through bureaucratic red
tape for people having trouble with
the IRS, Social Security, Veterans
Administration or any other federal
agency.
“I want to be accessible even
when I have to be at work up in
Washington, D.C.,” explained
Turner. “It’s too easy to get stuck
in the maze of federal paperwork,
and that’s what my staff will be
ready to help out with.”
Turner’s “Office on Wheels” will
be in the Commissioners’ Court-
room, Polk County Courthouse in
Livingston, from 8-10 a.m. Tues-
day.
In addition to his “Office on
Wheels” program, Turner typically
makes several tours of his 19-
county district every year. He has
offices in Lufkin and Orange and
can be contacted by phone in Wash-
ington at (202) 225-2401 or on the
Internet at www.house.gov/tumer.
“I want to work hard to make
government work for you,” TUmer
said, “and I invite everyone in the
area to take advantage of this oppor-
tunity.”
