Marjorie Moore Hendrix, 72, of
Livingston, was facing west on the
paved shoulder, according to Lee.
A 200.1 Dodge Ram pickup truck
driven by Glen Loyd Mead. 44, of
Splendora was westbound Mead
told the trooper that Hendrix started
to inuke a U-tum in the road. Mead
took evasive action to the left, but
slnick Hendrix's car. the investip-
tion showed
Hendrix was transported to the
Livingston hospital with non-
incapacilating injuries Mead was
listed as having sustained possible
injuries, but refased medical treat-
ment at the scene
Hendrix was cited to making a
U-turn at the crest of a hill.
Big Band music
to be featured
this Thursday
LIVINGSTON - The Livingston
Area Community Jazz Band will
present a concert in the down ga-
zebo at 7 p m Thursday, June 12.
This 17-piece band, under the di-
rection of Gerald Fagan, will fea-
ture Big Band music. Music selec-
tions will include Glenn Miller's
"String of Pearls” and “Little
Brown Jug" and Tommy Dorsey’s
"I'm Getting Sentimental Over
You ”
Visitors are invited to bring their
lawn chairs and enjoy an evening
of jazz.

Band is a group of volunteer musi-
cians who join together to provide
quality musical performances for
the benefit and enjoyment of its
members, its audiences and the.

ber of local musicians who felt the
