Prairie Grove Baptist Church
Bull Creek Cowboy Church
Bright Star Baptist Church
Mildred Garrett
It’s good to be home after
vacationing a few days in Ten-
nessee last week. Sunday School
was well taught by Rev. Hood
and attendance was good.
Rev. Byrd preached a won-
derful message on “A Guilty
Christian.” After service, Glenda
Garrett served us a very nice
lunch. Then the choir had a short
practice.
The Sol and Hanna Jackson
family reunion was held Satur-
day in the Jacksonville commu-
nity. Attendance was good and
the fellowship was even better.
The children really had fun on
the water slide. Everyone went
home looking forward to next
year.
Have a blessed week.

Our service was about the
VBS we had last week, with 152
children and 77 workers. The
Preschool Music Performance
opened the service followed by
the VBS slideshow. The Colos-
sal Coaster World Musical
Drama was next with Autumn
Teague, Cameron Teague, Lex-
ton Sly, Rachel Jordan and Hal-
ley McMillian. It was a great
program and everyone really
enjoyed it.
Bro. Joe presented the eve-
ning service and Ann Dickerson
presented the special music. A
business meeting followed.
Our Wednesday night meal
will be spaghetti, salad and gar-
lic bread. Bring a dessert and
enjoy the prayer meeting and
activities.
On Sunday, June 30, at 6:30
p.m.. the Watkins Family Blue-
grass Gospel group will pres-
ent a concert. A reception will
follow and everyone is invited.
Members are to bring sandwich-
es, chips, dips or cookies.

The Men’s Ministry Break-
fast will be on July 6 at 8:00
By Donna Jones
The day started with Bob-
by and Donna leading us in a
song, devotional from Ezekiel
on “The Responsibility of Warn-
ing” and then we were dismissed
in prayer to go to our classes.
Donna B. led the adults’ Bible
study, “The Greater Glories
Within.”
The young people’s lesson
was on “God Teaches Us to
Accept Each Other as Equals.”
Bobby and Donna led us in
several great songs as we came
together to praise The Lord. We
added a few names to our prayer
list and had some praise reports
a.m. with guest speaker Bert
Cooper.
The Children’s Camp will be
from July 6-9 at Latham Springs
Camp outside Aquilla.
Branded by the one who
branded us...Jesus.
about how good God is.
Bro. Mike made the announce-
ments. June 30 will be the next
community-wide singing in
Point at the Community Center
at 6:00 p.m.
We will observe the Lord’s
Supper immediately following
the services on July 7.
Birthday wishes go to Colton,
a visitor.
Bro. Mike brought our mes-
sage about “There Is No Want
for Those Who Fear The Lord.”
We invite everyone to visit us
and may God bless you and may
you have a great week.
By Glenda Galyean
“Looking unto Jesus the
author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set
before him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and is set
down at the right hand of the
throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
On Wednesday evening the
youth ate before services. Ron-
nie Galyean led the singing
before Duane Jackson’s message
from Luke titled “Then Whose
Shall Those Things Be?”
On Friday evening, our youth
and sponsors (27) went fishing
at Lake Fork. There were prizes
for the biggest and the most fish
caught.
Sunday morning, some youth
and sponsors gave testimony of
what the fishing trip and fel-
lowship meant to them. The
special was by Savannah Jack-
son, Ronnie and Glenda Galy-
ean. Bro. Jerry’s message was
from Hebrews titled, “Running
To Win.”
Birthday wishes go to Randall
Spence, and anniversary wishes
to Jim and Jane Moreau.
A large group of youth is
going to camp. They are hav-
ing a canned soda/bottled water
drive. Donations need to be at
the church by Friday evening.
Our Fifth Sunday Singing
will be next Sunday. Come join
us for a special time of praising
the Lord in the evening service.
Last week’s trivia answer: In
the mouth of a fish. This week’s
trivia: How many books in the
Old Testament start with “J”?
Have a blessed week!
