Annual library
sale Friday and
Saturday
The Whitewright Public Library’s annual book
sale is scheduled for Friday, August 9th, from 10
a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, August 10th, from
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Friday, all regular size
paperback books are 50 cents and all other items
are SI. On Saturday, shoppers can fill a bag for $5
or make a deal on a box full of books!
The library accepts items year-round, but now
is prime time to bring in your used books, audios
and videos. Anything not added to the collection
will go into the sale to raise funds to buy new
materials. The library is among many who’ve had
budget cuts but are also dealing with increased
demand for services, so this year’s sale is more
important than ever before.
Another way you can show support for the library
is to use our referral link when you purchase from
Amazon.com - books, e-books, videos, etc. - and
the library will receive a percentage of the sale
ranging from 4 - 10%, depending on the product.
You can find the link at the top of the library’s web
site, and the link must be used before each visit
to Amazon. Last year, we earned $500 to spend
on DVDs, audiobooks, and new and replacement
books.
If you have any questions, you can contact
the library by calling 903-364-2955 or visiting
