Houston I-’at Stock Show Satur-
day. March 4: h Each year the
top ten individuals in each eon
test will he awarded $200 00 to
purchase a reglaiered beef or
dairy heifer. These winners will
exhibit their animals at the next
year’s fat stock show The coo-
lest will be held in the Astro-
dome Stadium Saturday morning
at 8:00 am The members of
Rains teams were selected thla
ek from a competitive examin-
ation. There will be approximate-
ly 14 team members and alter-
nates making the trip to the
world * largest junior livestock
show.
Rains Future Farmers will
hold their monthly auction on the
north side of the square In Em-
ory at 1:30 pm Saturday. Mar
4th.
The first Saturday in each
month will be FFA Auction Day
for the local chapter Any per-
son having antiques or other
Items they wish to sell may bring
them and they will be sold for
s small commission
Kenneth Short will be the auc-
tioneer for the FFA sale Ken-
neth has recently completed a
so weeks auctioneer school at
Fort Smith. Arkansas and did a
fine Job at our first sale In Feb-
ruary.

motion was then made to hold
a W’hite Elephant Sale and a
Bake Sale on Saturday. March
11. 1967 The motion was second,
ed and passed unanimously

the policy with Nabors Insurance
Agency would be kept in foicr.

a note from the Boy Scouts
