never be placed near curtains
or any object that might catch
fire from the flame.
Look at the Christmas
tree that you have trimmed so
beautifully. You should dis-
card your old lights if they
are frayed. a new string will
cost less than a new house!!!
Be sure that your lights have
a “U L approved” label,
which means the cord has
been tested for fire or shock
hazard. Do any of the branches Lucky
touch the light bulbs? If the
light burn very long the bulbs
may heat and set fire to the
branches. Never leave the
light burning when you leave
the room or go to bed. a shiny
star atop the tree wins bre-
athless approval. But it you
try to reach the top of the
tree from an unstable perch,
broken bones may be the
result. Tinsel icicles should
not touch Christmas tree light
wires and unwrapped electric
trains should not be put under
the tree where icicles can
fall on the track. Tinsel
plus electricity produces a
gun as you would a loaded
gun. Learn and observe the
10 commandments of gun
safety.
Are you going to Grandma’s
for Christmas, or to spend
the holidays with other loved
ones? Then drive carefully.
The life: you save may be
your own.
To insure your Merry
Christmas, make it a safe one.
