New Officers Installed
At St. Elizabeths
INTRODUCTION. We celebrate our Risen
Savior’s being seated at his Father’s right
hand, where he lives to make intercession for
us. Through him we offer our prayers to the
Father.
1. That the world may have the peace which
Jesus Christ left as his parting gift to his
followers, we pray to the Lord:
LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER!
2. That Christians may be Christ’s witnesses
wherever and in whatever circumstances
they find themselves, we pray to the Lord:
LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER!
3. That we may not become so engrossed in
things of earth that we completely forget
things of heaven, we pray to the Lord.
LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER!
4. (The pastor will add petitions tor needs of
his parish.)
PRAYER. 0 God, your Son ascended to your
right hand to prepare a place for us. Help us,
we pray you, to make your earth a worthy
dwelling place for your children until they
claim the everlasting dwelling place your Son
has prepared for them in heaven. This we ask
through him who lives and reigns with you for
ever and ever.
AMEN!
