The united Fund quota for
Darrouzett is $2,026 it was
announced at a meeting Mon-
day night for the United Fund
Workers.
Among the oranizations that
will be supported by the March
of Dimes, Red Cross, Salvation
Army, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts,
.Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral
Palsy, the Texas Rehabilition
Center and the Local Fund.
The local fund will help
support the emergency needs
of the community. The united
Fund eliminates a.funcl raising
campaign for each drive and
need, and is used by many
communities to efficiently
raise money,
The campaign will open
October 29 and it is urged
by the united Fund workers
that you donate and contribute
to this worthwhile project.

ounced that this -would be the
last free copy of the papei
The response to the sub-
scription campaign has been
very good, and henceforth only
those, who have paid for their

Mrs Mona Hennigh has
helped the publishers of the
KVI a great deal by assisting
in the collection of subscrip-
tions and the gathering of news
items for the Ehrlich’s. She
will be glad to continue in
this capacity.

Homecoming
Celebration
October 26
This weekend is the Darr-
ouzett Homecoming celebration.
The scheduled events begin
with a barbacue supper served
in the Darrouzett High School
Cafeteria from five until seven.
The meal is being prepared
by the Home Ec. girls arid
tickets are being sold by^them
and the high school students
for the dinner. Adult tickets
will-be $1.35 plus tax. Child-
ren under twelve will be 90<t
plus tax.
The football game between
the Darrouzett Longhorns and
Lakeview begins at 7:30. Half
time ceremonies will include
the crowning of the homecoming
queen to be selected by the
football team.
