It’s just one thing after
another. I write only one
column ahead, not that this is
the best way to write, but
because, it takes me so long
to think of something to
write.,.', -
I wrote a column fcr this
week, while sitting under a
"woman cooker" (hair dryer)
that I won’t be able to use
until next week, writing
a column for Gene is easy-
-'.’t for me it is as if I were
'sked to clean house for the
Kennedy’s arrival ai five
minutes notice.
It is also difficult for me
to take orders from my hus-
band, take clear pictures,
type accuratly, and make
type accurately, and make
doubled slams, I also find it
difficult to think logically,
bake unlop sided cakes, and
find time to do my laundry.
I still have to master the
art of being tactful, and

on my spelling, my calm
nerves, and a wonderful
memory fa movies, books,
and names. Now, I look at

your name is-’’ My spelling
is long gone somewhere, and
my nerves are shot-thanks
to this paper, the Darrouzett
paper, scouts, cub scouts,
school parties,, bus sched-
ulex, Gene’s ulcer, feeding
the baby, phones, that don’t
work, windmills that don’t
pump, weeds that do grow,
boys shoes that wear out
with f cur more weeks of
school to go.

Receipts at Woodward Live-
stock Auction totaled 2650 head
of cattle (350 more than last
week) at the regular cattle
sale, Friday April 12, 1963.

The general market trend was
active and all cla ses sold
fully steady with most stocker
from .50 to 1.00 higher. There
were 201 buyers and 222 sell-
ers this week.
Slaughter steers sold at 21.00
to 23.00 with the heifer end
bringing 20.00 to 22.50.
Slaughter cows were fully
steady at 11.00 to 14.00 for the
canners and cutters with utility
and commercial cows bringing
14.00 to 16.50. Slaughter bulls
were no stronger at 17.00 to
19.50 Slaughter calves continue
to meet a good demand at 22.00
to 24.00. Feeder steers brought
22.00 to 25.00 to close steady
with the stockers stronger at
24.00 to 27.00. Feeder heifers
were fully steady at 21.00 to
23.50 with stockers strong at
22.00 to 25.50. Most of the
strength_wiis in the calf division
with plainer and heavier calves
selling.$1.00 higher at 24.00 to
28.00 on the steer end with the
choice lightweight steers bring-
ing 28.00 to 33.50 to close .50
higher. Stocker heifer calves
brought 23.00 to 25.00 for the
plainer and heavier ones and
25.00 to 28.00 for the choice
lightweights. Stock cows sold
at 150.00 to 190.00 with cow
and calf pairs bringing 180.00
to 250.00. Breeding bulls sold
at 150.00 to250.00 per head.
