Wednesday, January 12,
the National Honor Society
welcomed eight new members
in the annual induction
ceremony held in the audi-
torium. Mickey Horany,
President, led the cere-
mony. Old members renewed
their pledges as new mem-
bers took theirs.
The new members are:
Junior—Sandra Maag, and
Sophomores—Brenda Schlabs,
Pat Schlabs, Don Petty,
Dale Murphy, Connie Wright,

At the last meeting*
the PHA. decided to have
a Tupperware Party to
help raise money for
the group’s activi-
ties. The party wLll
be held at the school
cafeteria on January
20, at 7:30 P.M,
Each girl took some

Tupperware booktohave
outside orders. There
will be a prize of a
Tupoerware item pre-
sented to the g i r 1
that brings in the
most outside orders
and also one to the
girl that brings the
most guests to fee par-
ty.

Crutcher were involved
in a car accident when
local dbufcor, ft. D*
Schlomach, failed to

Mike hit him whin the
doctor ran the inter-
section on the way to
his office. Mike suf-
fered a slight cut on
his head, while David
had an injury on his
knee. Dr, Schlomach
was not injured.'. To-
tal damage was done to
Mike’s car, while ap-
proximately $800 dam-
age was done to the
docto-r’s car.
David Wright told

until next fall.
The second year members
received gold pins. They

Spanish I class have

floor plans and have

Joins Faculty
Mrs. Melba Gearhart, of
Wichita Falls, will assume
the duties of English I,
III, and Speech classes at
mid-term. She repla ces
Mrs. Sue Eroderson, who
will join her husband in
Dimmitt. Mrs. Broderson
will teach the fourth
grade,
Mrs. Gearhart is mar-
ried to the line coach at
Rider High School in Wich-
ita Falls. She has four
children—two boys and two
girls.
She is a recent gradu-
ate of Midwestern Univer-
sity, where she received a
B. S. degree. Mrs. Gear-
hart has a major in both
Spanish and English. She
did her practice teaching
at Wichita Falls High
School, where she tamght
five classes of Spanish.

progress you’ve., made to-
wards the person you are
working to become. Take
only a moment to look for-
ward and set your goals,
then set yourself to striv-
ing for the new opportuni-
ties just ahead.
