Gaines County Jail, a jailer caught an
inmale sniffing paint and reported the
incident to a deputy

from soft drink machines located in Seminole at Thrift way, IGA and Wal-Mart.
Thethefts occurred during theeveninghours of March7,2000or theearly morning
hours of March 8,2000.
Anyone having information concerning the crime or anyone who observed any
suspicious person(s) or vehide(s) in these areas during the time of the thefts should
call Gaines County Crime Stoppers at (915) 758-4025.
GainesCounty Sheriff sofficersarecurrentlyinvestigatingarashofbam burglaries
and farm thefts tluahaveoccurred in the county over thepast several weeks. Welders,
cutting torches, air compressors and various tools were taken.
Crime Stoppers will offer a reward leading to the recovery and arrest of the person
or persons responsible.
Amerada- Hess Corporation has announced a $5,000rewar * for information
concerning wellsite vandalism in the Seminole vicinity on the evenings of May 20
and May 22.
The company has offered the reward to the person or persons who provide direct
.evidence leading to the arrest and indictment which results in either a conviction or
plea agreement to the person or persons responsible.

7/31-While on warrant service,
Seminole Police served an Andrews
County warrant on a subject for a
motion to revoke probation.
The subject, identified as Reddy
Bingham, 46, of 505 SW 18*. was
arrested—on the warrant and
transported to the Gaines County
Jail.
Accidents
7/29-Seminole Police investigated
a two-vehicle accident in the 100
block of South Main just after 3 p.m.
Investigators said a 1994
Mitsubishi Diamante, driven by
Aaron Stotlar, 30, of Granbury, was
stopped in the 100 block of South
Main behind a 1999 Ford pickup,
driven by Harvey Enriquez, 32, of
Midland.
Another vehicle honked and Stotlar
told police he thought the light had
turned green and he accelerated while
the pickup was still stopped at the
red light. He struck the Enriquez
pickup in the rear, causing minor
damage to the Mitsubishi and
moderate to the pickup.
Stotlar was cited by officers for no
motor vehicle insurance, expired
registration and no driver's license.
7/30-Seminole Police investigated
an accident where a pickup struck a
house in the 300 block of Southwest
19* Street. (See separate story, this
issue).
8/2-Seminole Police investigated
a two-vehicle accident in the 100
block of Southwest Avenue C just
before 3 p.m.
Investigators said a 1998 Ford
pickup, driven by Jamie Cooper, 18,
of 406 SW 22nd, was backing south
out of a parking lot and did not see a
1997 Ford pickup, driven by Clyde
DollofT, 64, of 703 SW Ave. F,
which was headed west cm Southwest
Avenue *
___.The Dnllnff vehicle-swerved to
avoid being hit, but it was struck by
the Cooper vehicle.
Minor damage was done to the
Cooper vehicle and moderate to the
Dolloff vehicle. Cooper was cited for
failure to yield right of way
(backing).

8/1-At 3:56 p.m., EMS
transported a patient from the 200
block of Northwest 8* Street to
Memorial Hospital. Medical call.
8/1-At 6:50 p.m., EMS
transported a patient from Memorial
Hospital to University Medical
Center in Lubbock. Emergency
