1921-2000 birth of lhcir daughter, Kamaryn
Funeral Services for Shelby Cole, 79, of Seminole were held at 10 a.m. Shayc Bcamsley. She was bom on
on Friday, August 4, at the Seventh Street Church of Christ with Leo 21, 2000, weighing eight
Copeland, minister of the church, officiating. He was assisted by Jerald
Baldwin and Andrew Puree 11a.
Burial followed in the Gaines County Memorial Cemetery (north).
Services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Cole died Tuesday. August 1. at Memorial Hospital after a lengthy
illness.
He was bom March 28,1921, in Ardmore, Ok la. He married Dollie Mae
Ward on February 24,1959, in Big Spring. He was an office worker for the
Western Company. He moved to Seminole in 1987 from Seagraves. He was
a member of the Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Dollie, on June 15, 1994, three
brothers, Hiram, Gilbert, and Everett Cole, and one sister, Ann Mabry.
Survivors Indude one brother, William H. Cole of Seminole; three
sisters, Maudie Thornton of Andrews, Naomi Warren of Anchor Point,
Alaska, and Redah Marley of Commerce; and one sister-in-law, Doris
Perkins of Dallas.
The family requests memorials be sent to the Seagraves Fire Department.

Jan and JeiTy Hewett presented the
program for Seminole Lions Club’s
luncheon meeting Tuesday at Thelma’s.
The Hewetts described the trip they
to Italy durmtoe school
spring break. They showed slides of
sites they visited in Milan, Florence,
Cortona and other points of interest.
Rick Goodrich was program
chairman. In charge of next week’s
program will be Dr. E. M. Wright,
when introductions of the new school
teachers will be made.
During the business session, Broom
Sale chairman Shane Wimmer, reported
that the annual sale that benefits the
blind, has been scheduled for August
26. Assignments for the project will
be given next week.
