The Rev. Thomas Gregory, a fugi-
tive from justice, died last week in an
El Paso, Texas hospital.
Gregory, 44, the former pastor of
Rose of Sharon Baptist Church here,
had been on the run ever since he was
indicted for sexually assaulting his
daughter, 4.
According to reports Gregory died
during surgery. He had complained
of lower stomach pains. When doc-
tors operated on Gregory they dis-
covered a large hole in his pancreas.
He was given four pints of blood
before he slipped into a coma and
succumbed.
