come will be a good thing for
county politics. Neighbors and

spend all they make out of the

term can be devoted to taking
care of the office and saving a

The biggest event of the sea-
son outside of the political con-
tests just passing into history,
will be the campaign of your
ounty paper during the next
three months for the purpose of
adding 1000 new names to the
mbscHptlon list.
No premiums will be offered
to jnduca anyone to aubscribe.
as the paper is worth much
nore than the subscription
price and is a premium itself,
it the price of $1.50 per year.
The subscription list of the
paper is now’ about 900, A
county paper in n town as large
as Conroe and a county of the
population of Montgomery
county should have a regular
ami steady list of not less than
2000 subscribers who buy the
paper regularly for what it is
worth to them, not to help any-;
one else out or to b> able td
say that they do take the coun-
ty paper.
The Courier is going after
lhat 2000 subscription list and
we are going to get it.
We have been hoping against
hope that the paper could be
changed to a twice a week
paper this summer, but the pa-
per market i* so unsteaity and
uncertain that we are afraid to
risk it. We had also counted
on getting 2000 subscriber* to
the semi-weekly, causing a con-
sumption of more than four
times as much paper as we are
now using, and which we can
not get. A 2000 list for the
weekly will be only twice as
much paper as wc now use.
We can get that and we want
the 2000 subscribers for the
paper just like it is.

Big Feature Added.
Aluiut the only extra fea-
ture we have to offer new sub-
scribers in the way of an im-
provement in the reading mat-
ter of The Courier will be a
full and complete record of all
transactions of the 1 oinimsaioii-
era’ court, reports of offficials
and county and district court
news complete.

that the people should have re-
