Part of a collection of 6000 photos, negatives, and ROTC memorabilia donated by the photographer to Moffett Library in 1999.

John Tower was the first Republican United States senator from Texas since Reconstruction. He served from 1961 until his retirement on January 3, 1985, after which time he was appointed as the chairman of the Reagan-appointed Tower Commission that investigated the Iran-Contra Affair. He was George H. W. Bush's nominee for Secretary of Defense in 1989 but was rejected by the Senate, 53–47. John Tower was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas from 1951-60.

Richard Milhous Nixon began his political career as a member of the U.S House of Representatives from California's 12th district from 1947-1950. He served as U.S. Senator of California from 1950-1953. He was elected as the 36th Vice President of the United States under President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1953, serving until1961. He was then elected President of the United States in 1969. He resigned from office in 1974.

Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr. was a Massachusetts House of Representative member of the 13th Essex district from 1932-1936. He served as U.S. Senator of Massachusetts from 1947-1953. Lodge Jr. was chosen as the 3rd United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 1953-1960. He left the United Nations to run as the Republican Vice Presidential candidate for Richard Nixon in the election of 1960. After losing the election, Lodge Jr. became the U.S. Ambassador to South Vietnam from 1965-1967, and U.S. Ambassador to West Germany from 1968-1969. In 1970, Lodge became the Personal Representative of the President to the Holy See (Pope) until 1977.
