FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD is proud to announce that General Borisov will be with us again
and will also have with him a Russian girls choir. These girls range in age from 17-22 years
of age. They have all sang professionally before joining the choir. They have sung all over the
world and they can also sing in five different languages. They are the only choir sponsored by
the Russian Military. The service will be Monday night, October 23rd at 7:30 at the First
Assembly of God, located at 507 River Street, Cleveland, TX.
AUXILIARY UNIT OF POST 629, THE AMERICAN LEGION, COLDSPRING, TEXAS,
Tuesday, October 31st, Halloween Night, a Halloween party’for the children will be held at the
Post Hall starting at 6PM, with hot dogs, punch & candy. A costume contest will be held for
age groups up to 14 years old. Bring your children and enjoy the fun. A possible hay ride is
being planned.

the Ladies Auxiliary so they can remodel the kitchen.
CLEVELAND VETS HOLD TURKEY SHOOT. Cleveland Memorial Post 1839 of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold it's annual Turkey Shoot each Saturday in October at the
Post Home on FM2025. Thefestivities will open at 11AM and will go on until there are no more
shooters or 5PM. As usual there will be goodfood available. All proceeds from the shoot, food
sales and dance will go to the Post Charities.
CUB SCOUTS & BOY SCOUTS in all of Southeast Texas are again selling Trails End
Popcorn. The popcorn is a delicious and nutritious snack for everyone. There are seven
different popcorn products to chosefrom this year: 3 lb. bucket of unpopped corn for $5; 5-pack
butterflavor microwave for $5; 12 oz. caramel corn in a decorative tinfor $6; 15-pack butter
flavor microwavefor $10:15 -pack light microwave for $10; 28oz. caramel corn inthe large
holiday tin for $12; and new this year, 24 oz. chocolate caramel crunch ina holiday tinfor $15.

GOBLINS TO VISIT YOUNG AND OLD AT VFWPOST 1839. On Saturday, October 28th,
the VFW, Cleveland Memorial Post 1839 and it's Ladies auxiliary will host a Halloween party
for youngsters, to befollowed by a costume dancefor adults. Both events will be held at the Post
Home on Coldspring Road and are open to the public. The free children's party, featuring
games, prizes and other goodies will be from 5- 7PM. The dance with music supplied by DJ,
DougCarnes, will befrom 8-12PM. Prizes will be given for best costumes. Entrance to dance
is $3.00 for singles and $5.00 for couples. As always, the proceeds from the dance will go for
local charities.
