(WELL, SORT OF!)Dear Reader... Due to the wretched weather that day, our gymkhana on 17 April
had to be switched to a practice-best-of-three-runs event. And, due to our
commitment to SCCA taking precedence over purely club events, and to there
being NO open dates but 8 May, our Tour + Picnic had to be rescheduled. And
that, Dear Reader, is that... Now then... HOW ABOUT PLANNING NOW TO COME OUT
8 MAY AND HELP PUT ON YOUR CLUB'S NEXT EVENT - IT'S ONLY CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT
OF 1966? Because there just were not enough Mavericks out there helping on
17 April, and those that were had to work a lot harder than they should've
just to put on a smooth-running event, without time to relax and enjoy it!
THIS IS YOUR CLUB, AND IT NEEDS YOUR HELP AT EVENTS LIKE THIS ! ! ! If you
can come out about 10:30 AM, so much the better; if you can't come out until
after church, that's fine - just come!
NEXT MEETING... Friday, 13 May 1966, at the Jolly Roger Motor Hotel Restaurant,
1451 W. Euless Blvd (Highway 183), Euless, Texas. I can't get hold of our Pro-
gram Chairman for confirmation, but we're scheduled to have slides and a movie
showing the area around Colorado Springs and the 11th Porsche Parade site. And,
of course, the buffet will be available from 7 PM, with the meeting actually
starting at 8 PM. (For those of you who haven't sampled this buffet that the
Jolly Roger has been putting on for us: it's good! Well worth that 42.00, in
the opinion of Your Humble Fat Newsletter Editor.) COME ON OUT TO THE MEETING,
AND YOU CAN SEE WHERE YOU're GOING FOR THE PARADE ---
o OR, IF YOU're UNABLE TO GO (like me), COME ON OUT RCK O
AND BE ENVI OUS !
