Poultry Demonstration
I have been a 4-H club girl for
four years and decided to be a
poultry demonstrator this year be-
cause I have enjoyed raising ban-
tams for pets. After talking to Miss
] Cundiff, our County home demon-
stration agent, I decided I would
like to raise larger chickens for
eating purposes and for egg pro-
duction.
My bantams would hide their
nests and when the little chicks
were all hatched they would bring
them up to the house to my sur-
prise.
I have around 25 or 30 bantam
two more hens setting which will
chicks about four weeks old and
hatch in about one week or ten
days.
On the 21 of March I received 43
Rhode Island Red chicks hatched
from eggs at home, but cost of
hatching was $1.20. I also have 20
white leghorns, 8 of which set
and hatched at home and 12 pur-
chased at 10c each.

It’s Quality That Counts
In A Dairy Cow. . .
Progress and profits in the dairy industry call for milk-
producing quality in the breeds. To do justice to natural
milk-producing ability, feed your cows balanced rations,
containing protein, carbohydrates and minerals. Cotton-
seed meal and hulls have proved their quality, in well-
balanced dairy rations ... to supplement farm grains
and roughages.
