He is survived by: one son, Charles Brian Owen of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Linda
Mitchell and husband, Mike, of Winters, Texas; and one grandson, Jason Owen Mitchell of
Winters, Texas.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Stephen Owen in 1962 and one grandson,
Justin Ryan Mitchell in 1996.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Thursday at the First Baptist Church in
Winters with the Reverend Barry Taylor officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00
p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Orange, Texas
directed by Winters Funeral Home, with the Reverend Barry Bradley officiating.

A Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Robert
Bush officiating. Burial will follow in the City Cemetery. Rosary will be held at 6:30 PM
Wednesday, followed by a wake service at North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange St.
Alice was born May 10, 1944 to Jesus and Adela Barrera in Houston, Texas. She was a
graduate of Abilene High School and received her Associate's degree as a Pharmacy
Technician. She worked for United Pharmacy. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, and a Guadalupana at St. Francis Catholic Church.
She married Raymond Y. Romero, January 19, 1961 who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by four sons; Raymond B., Bobby and Edna of Mansfield, Texas, Candelario,
Michael and Stephanie of Arlington, Texas. One daughter; Maria A. Romero; two brothers;-
