will go to Falfurrlas under the

troop will leave after school and
will be met In Falfarruias by Dis-
trict Commissioner Leslie Crabb
who will take the boys through the
lec plant and substation, explaining
the operation. After that the Assis-
tant Scoutmaster Mountcastle will
join the troop and make camp at
the Falfurrlas scout hut,. A num-
ber of outdoor tests will be com-
pleted and every patrol will cook
its own supper.
In the evening the troop will vi-
sit the Falfurrlas scouts and enter-
tain them with several playets put
on by different patrols.
The scout executive from Corpus
will also be present and talk to the
b<ys.
A scout law relay contest was
held at the last meeting, between
the four patrols. The Flying Eagles
« me in first with the Hounds close
behind them. The Panthers placed
third and the Wolf patrol fourth.
A court of honor was also con-
ducted. Billy V. Isham received his
Tenderfoot badge using the circle
formation investiture. Jim Evans
was honored with the First Class
budge. A very impressive ceremony
was used. Two candles were placed
on a table and the badge between
them. Then all lights were turned
off with the exception of the can-
dles. At this point, the candidate
was ushered In and the scoutmas-
ter charged him with his duties,
asking him to rede.llcate himself
to the scout law.
Park Stubblefield, troop commit-
tee member, was present also Mr.
Arturo Lozano was present as a
visitor.
Colo., and his father and Martha
McPherson of Kansas are visiting
Mi. and Mrs. Henry Janson for a
short time.
Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Council of
Corpus Chrlstl were here over the
week-end visiting Mrs. C. T. Jones.
Mrs. W. E. Crawford and sons,
Joe and Douglas of Freer were
here Saturday visiting her daugh-
ter, Mrs. Ralph Bader.
Otto Winters spent last Thurs-
day in Corpus Christ!.

table for her bedroom out of an
apple box.
The slatted bottom of the box
was removed and replaced with a
side of the box. One end, which
had been curved, made the bottom
of the table and the other end of
box. also curved, became the top of
the table. The end of another box
was nailed in the center of the ta-
bic to serve as a shelf.
The only expense of Elidla’s at-
tractive table was the sandpaper
she used to sand the rough surfac-
es and the small can of white en-
amel used as finish.
