quality of careful craftsmanship is reflected in its
accuracy for which all Guild creations are renowned.

KINGSVILLE. TEXAS
Dear Friends:
The boss sprung a new one on me yester-
day. That’s a scheme he has to improve my
education—learn a new word every day.
This one was “depreciation.” He says it
means that when you use a thing a long
time it wears out and is not worth so much.
It's a pretty big word, but I hope to learn it.
I asked him about a diamond and he said
a diamond doesn’t have any depreciation;
and then he explained that if you buy a dia-
mond today, the chances are that it will be
worth even more in fifteen or twenty years.
I never thought of that before. I always
thought of a diamond as something pretty
to look at, and they have some fine ones
here in the store.
Just think of having the use of one of
these beautiful stones for years and years
without a particle of depreciation! There,
I used the word.
