The Liberty County drug task
force grant pays for salaries,
vehicles and drug "buy money" for
two narcotics officers. Liberty mid
Chambers counties' juvenile officer
grants pay for salaries.

Tarkington Athletic Booster
Club meets every Monday night
during football and volleyball
season, 7 p.m., in the high
school commons. All parents of
high school and junior high

training instructors and providing
basic certification training an
continuing education to law
enforcement officers in member
counties. In-service classes cover
such topics as arrest, search and
seizure; special weapons and
tactics; legal updates; hostage
situations; child abuse and neglect;
an commercial crime prevention.

scholarships to specialized training
sessions outside Jefferson, Orange
and Hardin counties.
Tlie Port Neelies grant provides
a salary mi other support for a
narcotics officer. The Nederland
public schools grant provides a
special classroom and teachers for
disruptive students with behavioral
problems, including alcohol and
drug abuse.
