A new high school was built in 1974 on Sandy
Lane next to the new stadium built in 1973. The
Main Street school is now Tomball Jr. High. The
newest school, built in 1979, is the Beckendorf In-
termediate School adjacent to the high school.
The Tomball Independent School District is on
the move for the future. As the population continues
to grow in leaps and bounds, so must the planning. A
new bond issue of $18.8 million was overwhelmingly
passed in 1981. Within the next few years three new
elementary schools will be built and the high school
will be doubled in size. This page sponsored by Dresser-Titan Division, Dresser Industries, Inc. Dcoss_ 69
