On last Sunday moraine at 11
o'stock quite an enjoyable social
event occurred at the St. Joe Bap-
tist church, being the matrimonial
I union of Mr. Edgar Nabors and
| Miss Verda Rosella Stewart. .
Three cars consisting of the I
[•wedding party left the home of the
bride's parents at 10:45 a. m.!
Ijreaching the church at H o’clock.!
! The church was beautifully de-'
j corated with roses and ferns. Miss
I Lois Sutler gave the reading: “AH
I Old Sweetheart of Mine,” by Rib
sy; followed by a solo: * ‘ O, Prom.
|! ise Me,” sung by Miss Letha
Smith. Both numbers wt-re well
| rendered and especially suitable
for this occasion.
| The bridal party marched from
..the ears to a wedding march play-
^ed by Miss Velma Lois Stewart, a
J sister of the bride. The march was
(led by Mr. Kuell Duke and Miss
| Lula Belle Stewart, a sister of the
bride, followed by Mr. and Mrs.
J Payne Slaughter. The bride was
accompanied to the marriage altar
by her father where the groom ac-
'cetnpanied by the minister met
'(’-am. . f...
Rev. 15. J. Springer of Carbon,
Texas, performed the ceremony in
a very impressive manner.
Jhe ehurch was inadequate to
accommodate the large host of
friends who had gathered to wit-
ness the rites. Misses Alyce
Broughton and Lois Butler prov-
ed to be very efficient ushers for
this grand occasion.
The bridesmaids wore beautiful
lingerie dresses and carried in
their arms a bouquet of sweet
peas: The bride wore a lovely
suit of grey taffeta with grey hat
and boots to harmonize. She car-
ried a bridal bouquet of white
roses. -------—__L- —-~
After the ceremony the wedding
party drove to the Stewart home
where a most delieiou# dinner was
awaiting them.

Bowel Complaints in India.
In a lecture at one of the Des
Moines, Iowa, churches a mission-
ary from India told of going into
the interior of India, where he was
taken sick, that he had a bottle of
Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera and
Diarrhoea Remedy with him nd be-
lieved tht it saved his life. This
remedy is used successfully in In-
dia both as a preVentative and cure
for cholera. You may know from
this that it can be depended upon
for the milder forms of bowel eom-
plaint that occur in this country.
