in the Tillman county Baptist as-
-sociation, which met at Fredreick
Oklahoma recently. A. J, Tant
formerly of Dublin was elected
vice president anb J. B. Vinson
formerly of this city correspond-
ing secretary.

Will Dalton of Oglesby spent
several days visiting the family
of W. A. Hudspeth near town and
returned home Monday. Will ac-
companied him back to Oglesby
and will put in a crop near there
next year. Will is a fine gentle-
man and a good citizen. The

new home, and wishes him abun-
dant success.

Isom Dennis and A. I. Allard
of Bluff Dale were in the city a
few days ago, and Mr. Dennis in-
formed the Empire reporter that
there would be mnch of the acre-
age around that place sown in
wheat this fall. Up to last Fri-
day two cars of seed wheat had
already been received there and
there will perhaps be consider-
able more shipped in. We hope
to hear of vast quantities of
grain being planted all around.
