extra points up the middle.
"Our tlefense looked good. We
could hold them, but we couldn’t
score," suid Coach Ed Whiteley.
Kerrville crossed into Brady ter-
ritory only once in the first half,
and that came on a punt to the
Brudy 49. In the second half,
Kerrville managed to cross the 50
in the final four minutes of play
after Brady substitutes went in.
Whiteley credited the Pups’ con-
ditioning for the victory. "We just
heat them down.”
It was the Brady B tram’s first
game of the season. This week
they go to Coleman Thursday

downfield to IIB Gordon McHnde.
Almost in the clear, Me Pride gath-
ered it in and wus down on the
Winters 20 before being hauled
down from behind.
Three pluys later, the Blizzards
drew a penalty to their own 1-
yard line, und H'nrkburn pushed
over the score for Brudy.
The penalty was the first of
mai'y flags dropped during the
night, 17 against the Bulldogs for
a staggering 155 yards. Most of
them apparently were violations
of a new rule governing use of
hands on offense.
Winter* evened the score
almost immediately. Enable to
move against the Brady line.
Winters HB Jimmy l.argent
tossed a pass to end Itirkey
Grissom, good for .10 yards
and 0 points for the Blizzards.
I.argent’s attempt, however, to
run over the conversion attempt
failed and the deadlock remained at

Hardly as sharp as in their first
game against Ballinger, the Bull-
dog* knew they didn’t have to
work too hard, and as the Brady
score mounted the opposition
grew weaker.
The Bulldogs’ second TD march
started after Orville Wright had
soured a Winters fumble on the
Blizzard 41. McBride scooted
around left end from the 4 for
the tully, and Blackburn passed to
Forest Hanson for the extra 2
points.
Still in the second period, the
Bulldogs took over again when
Hanson intercepted I.argent’s pass
on the Brady 44. In a drive
highlighted by a 11-yurd toss from
Blackburn to McBride, Brudy ad-
vanced to the Winters 6 where FB
Dun Gundy powered through the
middle for the touchdown.
A 15-yard penalty wiped out the
Dogs’ chunce of success on the
conversion attempt, and they hud
to he satisfied with a 20-6 lead at
halftime.
The srorehoard changed
quickly as the third period
started. Taking the Winters
kickoff, the Bulldogs started
on their own 14. Blackburn
passed to Hanson for 5; Mc-
Bride picked up 1. and then
Blackburn suddenly followed
Gundy through the middle of
the line.
Spinning around and with his
long legs churning, Blackburn shot
into the clear and raced 46 yards
for the touchdown. It was one ot
