When driving a car you have
often noticed that a hill appears
much steeper at a distance and
the actual climbing is much eas-
ier than it looks before you have
tried it.
Similar is his experience who
looks at the steep inclines be-
fore reaching a definite goal
ahead.
Have faith in yourself and re-
member that the road up the!
hill in the distance is a pretty
true picture of any ditliculty
faced beforehand; and the strain
is very much less if you are pre-
pared and go ahead undaunted.

“Say, Bill; you ought to pull
down the blinds when you kiss
your wife. I saw you last night.
“That’s a joke on you. I
wasn’t home last night.”
NATURALLY.
“So Rose wouldn’t kiss Jack
when they were out in the canoe
last night—what did he do?”
“He paddled her back.”
