President Easterling Makes Shod
When A. Claude Easterling was se-
lected as president of the Stamford
Chamber of Commence last December,
J»e did not make any glittering prom-
ises. but stated that th« main thing
he desired the organization to work
for was paved streets, a cleaner and
more attractive town, good ’ public
highways-- coming into Stamford, nat-
ural gas: and another railroad.
Much- constructive, work is being
done os the highways, with R. L. Hay-
nie aa chairman. From a civic stand-
j>oint the...town never was more at-
. tractive and now it looks very much
like we are to get natural gas.
