ELECT EMMETT WILBURN
YOUR
DISTRICT ATTORNEY
r
■Vi
TO THE CITIZENSHIP OF '
PANOLA COUNTY:
I have made a fair, clean campaign among you and I want you to
‘ know, that I appreciate the wonderful help, support and encour-
agement that you have given me. From all over Panola and Shel-
by counties come reports that the people have made me their
choice for District Attorney and I honestly and sincerely be-
lieve that this is the case.
This judicial district is composed of only two counties about the
same size and with about the same amount of criminal business.
If you elect me your district attorney I will have an office in the
town of Carthage, for the purpose of attending to official duties
only and 1 will divide my time in order that you may be able to
see and talk with your district attorney without going to Center.
I think that this is only fair and right and I honestly and sin-
cerely hope that it meets with your approval.
During the time that I have been county attorney i n Shelby
county I have tried one hundred and twenty-five cases in coun-
ty court resulting in 120 convictions and five acquittals. A few
months ago the jurisdiction of drunk driving cases was placed in
county court and since that time I have tried twenty of these
cases with 19 convictions. I am proud of my record as county
attorney but I am just as proud of the fact that I am called a boys’
friend and that my friends do not hesitate to call upon me for
friendship and help when they need it.
I appreciate the wonderful help that you are giving me and I
will continue to appreciate your wonderful friendship and sup-
port.
Your friend,
EMMETT WILBURN
