Monday. Dec I.—I aad Columbus
got ap a little firewood soon this
mornlag while It was cold. Then
picked cotton Urn root of the day.
Kngeae Roe helped ua this evening.
1 picked 111. Columbus IS and Bagean
17 pounds Brother Charlie Whitaker
Is here tonight, ho has come damn
to help us pick cotton. It has been
a alee fair day, but a little cool.
Tuesday. Dec. d.—We all picked
cotton all day. < picked lid, Colum-
bus 88. Charlie 88 and Engenn 92
pounds. I and Columbus sawed down
this morning for
Wednesday. Dec. 7.—I picked cot-
ton until dinner. After dinner I want
to the ginr with a bale and carried the
seed and sold them to Mr Alonta
Parker. Uncle John Bellamy's crowd
all but Arthur picked cotton for ua
today, also Mrs. Allie Hurt and her
boy. Guy. We nil picked out €81
pounds. 1 and Charlie went to Carth-
age tonight and bought Ma one of
these little lighting tooth cross cut
saws for fl.Od. Got back by 8:38 pjo.
Thursday. Dec. 8.—My cotton pick-
era all came back this morning ex-
cept Charlie, he went home. It has
been a cold day. It baa snowed and
sleeted a little off' and on all day.
ISleeting tonight. We all picked 836
pounds today. Some or the hands
went home at dinner.
Friday, Dec. 9.—We done nothing
It quit snowing late this evening.
Saturday. Dec. 18.—We done noth
Ing all day except get up a little
wood. Then I went to town to'mill.
It has bean a pretty fair day. The
•now Is melting vary alow. Will
Beaty and family, Sidney Roe aad
Arthur Bellamy are here to spend
the night.
Sunday. Dec. 11.—Wo stayed at
home all day. Our company stayed
with ua until after dinner. Mrs. Roe
and children and some of Uncle
John Bellamy's children was hare
this evening. John Bd Garner and
Oscar Johnson was hare a while lata
this evening. It has been n cold day
—strong north wind, the snow
slow.
