or Indirectly
by losing our temper.
When the days ar« dark and
the nights cloudy there are so
mny nice pleasant things to think
about. For instance, our friends
who have roven their sincerity
and wrth, and especially our par-
ents and dear old grandparents
to whom we owe our existence on
earth, and I have an Idea every
day with grateful children. The
sentiment expressed ln the follow-
ing lines by an unknown author
expresses the reverence I have for
parents, -even though my father
went to the endless shore ln 1899
when I was three weeks old. My
mother D still living, more than
ninety years of age, with con-
science olear and peace of mind
she la quite happy ln the evening ,
of life, for which I am thankful.
"Parents the dearest, truest,
fondest name. (Of course this
means the right kind of perents,
like yours and mine.) All the
world gave,them that fame—they
who gave us Birth and from their
life we took our worth. The ones
who ber the sweetest name and
adds a lustre to the same.
Who shares our Joys? Who
cheers when sad? The greatest
friends I ever had—Long life to
them, for there Is no other oguld
take the place of my dear parents.
