rious consideration just as soon as the
Denton line is completed.
Promoters already are figuring on
proposed routes. The route most fa-
j vored would be by tHe way of Spring-
town. The northern section of Par-
ker county is a rich and fertile stretch
and one of the .finest cotton growing
communities in this part of the-state.
Farmers iri that vicinity are forced to
freight their cotton and other pro-
ducts a dis'feance of more than thirty
gr forty miles to the nearest road; j
It is said'the citizens along the pro- j
posed route already have gotten wind
j of the scheme to put through a trac-
tion line to Mineral Wells and are
highly elated over the prospects.
A line from Fort Worth to Mineral
Wells through the northern part of
Parker county would have no railway
competition. Such a line would tap a
fertile and fairly well settled commu-
nity. Parker county lands are adapt-
ed to truck growing and dairying, in
addition to being a splendid cotton
growing section.
