of Odd Fellows ol Canton 111 was de
tected today as a fraud His traveling
card expired in April 1887 and by for-
gery ho has made it to read 1883 With
this card he had been visiting a number
ol lodges throughout the state and re-
ceiving financial aid He represented
hlmsell to the Dallas lodge to be in great
distress His forgery ol tho date ol his
card was detected and an Inquiry by wire
to bis home lodge confirmed the suspi
ions ol the Dallas cfflcels Ho got no
aid here and has disappeared
In the District court today In the case
ol Slaughter Evans Hunter vs W A
Stinson et a judgment was rendered
for the plantlff in the sum of 63375

chairman the Dallas emigration meeting
met at the Merchants Exchange to hear
the report of the committee who was ap-
pointed at the last meeting to raise sub-
scriptions for 1000 perimonth to be used

mittee reported subscriptions to the
amount of 100 per month Toe report
was received and the committee was
urged to complete the thousand a month
subscription on Monday and Tuesday

by the Irish ot Dallas and hundreds have

quet at the Young Mens Hebrew As-
sociation hall An immense crowd Is

The game today between tbe Cincin-
nati and Dallas league teams was at-
tended by a large crpwd who saw the
home team completely overwhelmed It
was a onesided affair from Ike begin-
ning The game commenced at 330 p
m with Dallas at the bat In thin in-
ning Dallas ecored two runs Sue failed
to score again save once in tbe seventh
inning The Dallas men bit Smith freely
but to no effect after the first inning
The Cincinnatls slugged Whittaker until
they were tired They exhausted them-
selves in running around the bases The
visitors played with vim until the latter
part of the game when they let-
down a little to give the home
team a chance Fogary played a bnl
liant game in left field and Lswis and
Bohannon did fair work but the whole
team seemed to plsy with little spirit
The features of the game were the field-
ing of Fogart and the splendid all round
work of tbe visitors

that Fort Worth and Austin have the bem
base ball clubs in tbe state and tbat these
