many, has been reported seriously
wounded, according to a telegram
received by his wife, Mrs. Rosie Lee
Archer.
Pvt. Gerald Williams of Taylor-
town, who is now in Germany, has
been reported slightly wounded, but
is improving.
Dwight Wiggley, formerly of this
community, is in Temple to under-
go an operation.
Misses Doretha Terry was mar-
ried last week to Sgt. Bibbie Ste-
wart of Camp Maxey.

moved to Camp Maxey, where Mr.
Smith is employed.

Leonard Hutchins is here on a
furlough from the Army and says
he has enough points to release him
from service. He was seriously
wounded while in Germany.

Mr. Hill is getting along fine after
an operation.
The WHD Club met in the home
of Mrs. John Henry Kelley Thurs-
day. A Mother’s Day program was
given which everyone enjoyed. Re-
freshments were served. Next meet-
ing will be in th home of Mrs. Essie
Chesshire, with her daughter, Mrs.
Moncrief as co-hostess.
Mrs. Bob King returned Saturday
from English, where she has been
visiting her son, Mr. and Mrs. Travis
King.
Mrs. Jewel Morris and son of
Tennessee, are visiting in the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kit
Adams.
A prayer service was held at the
Christian church Sunday afternoon.
The seniors had their annual out-
ing Friday and Saturday at Dainger-
fieid.
